Diagnosis. The ground colour is an unusual pale yellow-green with subbasal,
discal, postmedial and marginal markings in darker green.
Taxonomic notes. The male genitalia of this species and B. philippina Prout
stat. n. from Palawan are very similar, but the latter, originally described as
a subspecies of B. chrysolineata Walker, has facies of the typical Berta
type.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra (Heterocera Sumatrana Colln).
Habitat preference. Three specimens were taken during the Mulu survey: two at 500m on
hill dipterocarp forest on G. Mulu and one at 250m in forest on the lower slopes
of the limestone G. Api.
