Diagnosis. The dull orange suffusion of the wings characterises venusta.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Sundaland, Sulawesi, Seram, New Guinea.
Habitat preference. The species is uncommon, recorded from the lowlands to 1930m, often
in areas of disturbed vegetation or secondary forest.
