Diagnosis.
The general facies and build of this species are unmistakable. The type species aspersa has the forewing fascia running to the apex and one, rather than two, fasciae across the hindwing.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Nias, Sumatra, Borneo, Palawan.

Habitat preference. The species is infrequent in lowland and lower montane forest, perhaps favouring heath forest in particular.
