17mm. This species is a smaller, paler and less heavily marked version of
the previous one, the distal striae of the forewing being of slightly different
configurations. The two are probably sister-species or perhaps ecological races
of the same species.
The male genitalia are much as in the previous species but the valve is
slightly constricted subapically and the basal spine is slightly more slender
and more evenly tapered.
Holotype
BRUNEI: 15m, Telisai, sandy heath forest and Gymnostoma, 8.1.1980 (R.
Fairclough) BM cossid slide 153.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The only specimen is from lowland heath forest
dominated by Gymnostoma (Casuarinaceae).
