Pareumelea Warren
Type species: eugeniata Guenée
The forewing margins are rounded to angular, the hindwings with a somewhat
crenulate margin with a slight angle at vein M3. The facies has a pale
yellow ground colour, mostly suffused with grey or brown and speckled with
dark brown; fasciae, when they occur, are irregular. The yellow ground
colour is more or less unsullied at the margins and usually in a central
submarginal patch on the forewing. The male abdomen shows two diagnostic
features: modification of segment 8; possession of well-developed
structures, a spur or a slender, sinuous arm, arising from the base of the
valve costa in the genitalia. The female genitalia have a very large
signum in the basal half of the bursa.
