Naarda muluensis sp. n.

Naarda muluensis
Figure 356

10mm. This species has the wing shape of melinau but more the fasciation of ineffectalis. However, the forewing discal spot is a dark ochreous yellow with only very weak dark spotting. The male antennae are ciliate, the cilia long; the labial palps are similar to those of barlowi. The male genitalia have a slender, unmodified uncus. The valves have a more sclerotised process subbasally from the costal margin, with a few setae at its apex. There is a robust, curved, spine-like extension to the sacculus apex. The apical portion of the valve is narrow, tongue-like. The aedeagus vesica lacks a cornutus but there is a substantial ventral field of spining extending from the apex of the aedeagus into it.
