A female specimen from montane forest at 1618m on Bukit Retak in Brunei may represent a further species in the group with dark brown forewings. The ground colour is much darker than in vagalis, but the white fascia is similarly straight. However, the white grades away distad rather than being sharply defined, such that the two dark discal dots are more conspicuous within it. The underside is more strongly marked as in transversalis. The ductus bursae (slide 20060) is very much longer than in the other species.
