elisa Butler
Syntomis elisa Butler, 1876, J. Linn. Soc. Lond. (Zool.)
12: 347.
Syntomis eliza (sic) Butler; Seitz, 1912-1913: 73.
Diagnosis. This species is again very similar to wallacei in facies but the
segments of the abdomen between the two yellow rings are marked yellow
laterally, the yellow extending only weakly or not at all to the dorsum. In the
male genitalia the aedeagus vesica spining is less extensive than in the
previous two species, the spines smaller. The valves have marginal and apical
setation as in elisoides but weaker; the basal costal processes are more
or less equal, long, curved.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is rare in lowland, forest.
