The species is larger and the forewing paler, greyer than in excisa,
though the markings are similar. The hindwing is concolorous with the
forewing rather than darker as in excisa. The
genitalia have the valve processes symmetric rather than strongly asymmetric as
in excisa, with three more or less equal processes from the sacculus to
the valve costa. The aedeagus vesica is globular rather than tapering and has a
cluster of moderate spines as well as more general scobination.
Holotype SABAH: Mt. Kinabalu, 30.vii-3.viii. 1979 (E.W. Classey), BM arctiid slide 4968.

Geographical
range. Borneo.
Habitat
preference. The
only specimens are from around 1500-1600m on G. Kinabalu or the neighbouring
Crocker Range.
