Diagnosis. This is the largest Bornean species, bright yellow, distinguished by a
dark bar running from the falcate apex through the submarginal to just distal to
the postmedial over the posterior half of the wing. The discal spots are black
dots rather than pale.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Taiwan; Sundaland, (ssp. contracta);
Sulawesi (ssp. unita).
Habitat preference. The species is infrequent in forests from the
lowlands to about 2000m.
