Diagnosis. The species is unmistakable, resembling Amphitorna Turner species in
colour, pattern, and wing shape, but with a conspicuous hyaline area on the
forewing.
Geographical range. Sri Lanka, N.E. Himalaya, S. China, Burma, Peninsular
Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Kei Is.
Habitat preference. The species is rare, with two specimens seen from
lowland forest (Ulu Belait in Brunei and Samarinda in Kalimantan) and two from
1465m on Bukit Retak, Brunei.
