Zusidava
tortricaria Walker
Zusidava tortricaria Walker,
1862, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus.,26:1638.
Diagnosis. See the generic description. The relatively large area of the hindwing
and the central grey suffusion to the double postmedial of the forewing
are distinctive.
Taxonomic note. Z. sinuosa Moore stat. rev, has been treated as a synonym of tortricaria
(e.g. Warren, 1922, Gross-Schmett. Erde, 10: 493), but the male
genitalia are very different: a broader capsule; trifid socii.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. No recently collected material has been seen. The
original material, collected by A.R. Wallace, was probably from a lowland
locality in Sarawak. The only other material seen is from the low-lying
Pulo Laut, an island at the south-east of Kalimantan.
