13-15mm,
16mm. Both sexes have an extensive brown
zone over almost all the hindwing. The basal fifth is green with a central
dentation into the brown zone. Green recurs narrowly at the margin and diffusely
over a broad area submarginally. The forewing brown markings are similar to
those of the next species, but stronger, the postmedial narrow, irregular, but
entire. The male genitalia have the valves narrower than in close relatives,
without a central process to the valve costa. In the putative female (slide
17494) the ductus and bursa are robust and the lamella
antevaginalis is broad, sclerotised, its distal margin slightly sinuous.
